As fuel costs rise and fall and the economy regains its foothold, Americans have been looking to alternative forms of transportation. Scooters and motorcycles have been brought to the forefront once again, as a result. Both types of vehicle can simplify the daily grind with their cheaper cost to operate, higher fuel-efficiency and lower investment.

Toward a fuel price rising and going down in sudden condition with random moment the economic condition in many countries have reach their foothold for a moment. Many countries especially the United States have looking for an alternative transportation and vehicles for their massive population. As the result scooter motors, moped and motorcycles have floating to surface once again. Both types of the vehicles handle every daily errand with cheaper budget for daily operation, fuel efficient and offer lower investment compared with other vehicles with more wheels.

As we all know, or you never know before motorcycles known as 2 or 3 vehicle applied with seat for the driver. And scooter motor is a vehicle which powered by small engine, run with smaller wheel and designed with footrest above chassis for rider’s foot.

Consider it before scooter motor is a suitable transportation for short distance which only spend a gallon for 70 miles. Scooter motor usually also comes with extra storage space under the seat which make the ride can place their stuff. Compared with motorcycles they have additional advantage considered by the design. From gas efficient factor, motorcycle is less efficient than scooter motor. Provide more power with higher speed motorcycles offer comfortable riding on the highways.

Safety features and safety factor

The most disputed topic around two and three wheeled vehicles, safety. What makes a difference, riding a scooter motor or motorcycles is rider’s responsibility to ride their vehicles with good manner or method.  Scooter comes with smaller design and targeted for urban activity with small engine that reach top speed up to 45 mph and many people said the danger for scooter rider is the other driver. Meanwhile the danger rate on motorcycles is not show significant gap even in higher speed level. Smaller wheel diameter on scooter might cause a dangerous situation in bumping road condition. On the other side, motorcycles have better suspension systems to handle the problems. So, both of them have their own advantages.

Legal Concerns (An sensitive topic for some countries)

Some of countries around the world control scooter motor on the same rules as motorcycle. Registration required and motorcycle license to ride the vehicles on public streets. Your choice, Scooter motor or Motorcycle?

Research, ask to the expert, read some review and check your real options on local store for better value. Scooter motors are much easier to ride in urban uses but you can’t go for a long distance. Motorcycle need better skills to drive and control because if you can handle it you can go wherever you want. And after all, what’s make scootermotor or motorcycle better that other vehicle is you. Consider yourchoice, what you choose and keep your manner while on the street to make a safety riding.

Packing List Tips Before Touring with Motorcycle, It’s Works on me

Need some advice to packing your stuff before touring? I think I need it too. Few days ago I complaining about my girlfriend’s behavior when she pack her stuff before we went to go out for a dinner. She spend more than 1 hours just for decided which stuff, which make up that she must bring for 3 hours of or dinner time. And she wasted it for 1 hour. Everything contrary if I remember yesterday and what I see now all my stuff should placed on my bag. I spent for 1 hour or much more to decide which stuff important which stuff not important which stuff will become useful which stuff will be break. 

Motorcycle Touring 2013

I tried to cram 90% of my stuff to fit on my bag. When you would touring with motorcycle or scooter, less is without any important stuff leaved. All of the kit and stuff which I mention below is what I bring for my 7 days motorcycle touring. It’s about 3000 miles round scooter touring from Sumatera to Bali (Indonesia). I’m not trying to show you or even teach you what minimum stuff or kit that you need during your trip. Just for provoke some responses from reader around the world. I’m not saying that touring with motorcycle and you just bring a toothpick and chewing it on your mouth is not recommended advice but this list or the packing tips is works on me. 

You bring everything?

Some people maybe response this post is kind of touring performance or something like that, but what I’m trying to share here is the stuff and kit that you need if you going to a place with long distance and you need a fast journey with light load on your back.

So let’s we start it, I begin to categorize the most important thing on my touring packing list. My bike (of course), pants on, socks, thermal, shirt, two pieces zip, leather with Gore-Tex brands assembled, water proof for rainy trip and a comfortable boots. Another safety gear is helmet with dark visor for day light touring.

And here's what's I’m fit into my bag.

Performance Touring Checklist for newbie bikers:

• Passport (I don’t know why I bring it but I think I need it when I change my destination)
• Earplugs (always keep from the noise since it created)
• LED cycle torch (very usefull for any scenario, trust me)
• Driving licence and a scooter or motorcycle (still confused what I choose to ride)
• Soap bag (toothbrush, toothpaste, a few aspirin, paracetamol and a couple of berroca for sudden sick during the trip)
• Cable lock (for additional security from thieves)
• Chain lube (every time I heard lube it’s always bring my mind out of track)
• Clear visor (for night touring especially on light less road)
• Samsung Galaxy S3 (Phone, camera with amazing image result to record your journey, GPS, proper Sat Nav, phrasebooks)
• Undercrackers (I don’t know what is this but the man in the garage sale suggest me)
• Jeans (thin material, much lighter, keep me warm)
• Cable ties (a million possibilities to use this stuff and many scenario related with this kit)
• gloves (warming you hand)
• T-shirts (4 pieces I think for extra preparation)
• USB phone charging cable (if you’re not bringing your laptop, asked the receptionist or bartender)
• Lightweight gloves (great for when it's warm, also good if your other pairs get soaked)
• Flip-flops (wearing boots all the time and you feel like a woman on a Prada high heels)
• Wallet (cash, credit card, license everything that will be useful for cost your motorcycle touring)
• Socks (bring some, don’t force yourself to use on socks until the end of the trip.

As you can see, there's still plenty of room for a copy of Private Eye to keep you going in the evenings. If you want to take a proper camera, get a map as backup, lob a fleece in there, pad it out with more pants, smuggle some proper tea-bags, you can... but just remember; less is best.

What’s your opinion? As you can read above there are some space remaining for extra stuff such as camera with high definition video or even a private eye. Buy some maps for back up you Smartphones. You can smuggle some coffee, soap or beer, you can do that but remember lighter lad is much better.

Steering Locked is Not Enough to Protect Your Motorcycles From Group of Thieves

Stolen motorcyle and scooter for all bikers who live in UK, do you ever heard about there’s an easy method to steal a motorcycle on a parker lot? It’s become popular especially in London all cities around UK. And I think this method is used by many thieves around the world such as Asia, my country already revealed about this method for a couple year.

This is what would they done to steal your motorcycle:

In a parking log a thief pretend to be a motorcycle’s owner which checking his own bike. On the same time he look around for to other motorcycle near by them and look for additional security systems on a scooter or motorcycle but they can’t see any security systems applied. They check it again and this London’s thief only found the steering lock on. So this is easily to be wheeled it away the scooter on the road without wheel locked. They look around, spread their glance, no one around and they start to grab the still. Smash it to left and right just for a second and the steering lock is broken. Then they leave it away.

For a couple minutes later, they return with their mate, hops off on their mate’s bike and they pulled the stolen motorcycle or scooter. Their foot placed on pillion peg and they start to push your stolen scooter down the street by the power of their motorcycles.
They bring it to another corner on the street and pick it up with a van or push down to the road and make it home. Not until 15 minutes your motorcycles stolen by this group.
It’s easy how they stole your scooter right?
A group of organized motorcycles thief earn up to £3m from stealing motorcycle, bike or even scooter around UK in a months. There are some advice to protect you motorcycle from this group by make it less attractive for them.

Big chain or tracker applied to your motorcycle will make them think twice before done their action. Steering lock is not save at all so don’t just rely on this security systems especially after we know the weak of steering lock on a scooter and motorcycle.
You only need spend £10 - £120A for a disc brake locker. The advantages you can protect you scooter or motorcycles from being wheeled easily by the thief.
I often seen so many scooter and motorcycles parked in the London street with no locked systems on it. They often only locked their motorcycle with steering lock. We know it’s look like become very clear today to said “use a additional lock” but in the real case they never think it again. We know we don’t want become their next target to be stolen.
